Slowly most of the interns are leaving to go to school, which means more hours for the rest of us. This week I worked 3 out of the 4 home games. We added a new on-field promotion this week; the interns hold up hula hoops, and the participants have rolls of toilet paper that they have to hike (like a football) through their legs and into the hoop for a prize. It was fun, but definitely tough to clean up in the allotted time we were given. Other than that, the big talk of the day is Joe Mauer; he is going to be given his rehab assignment soon and there is a good possibility he will be coming to the Rock Cats! How exciting! And finally our sales contest finished, and I ended up selling 30 tickets. Not too bad considering we were only given a week and a half to sell them! I definitely attribute my Personal Selling class I took in Tiffin to helping me sell these tickets as well as our Cleveland Indians Ticket Sales Project we do each Spring. Both of these classes/projects helped give me the advantage over the rest of the interns when it came to convincing businesses and friends as to why they should buy MY tickets.
